The Urban and Regional Planning PhD Program aims to raise distinguished scientists who would be acknowledged on planning theories and policies; who would have the ability for deeper analysis of planning system to solve problems and to bring the novelty into their specific field of interest; who would contribute with creativity and innovation process in urban and regional planning; and who would have expertise in designing alternatives in a wide perspective. The mission of PhD candidates is defined as to respect and to save the dignity of scientific ethics in their researches and professional activities as well as to disseminate the outputs of their works for the public interest.
