The Urban and Regional Planning undergraduate program has been structured to educate future planners who can understand life, society, and space with the aim of shaping the future; who question, perceive integrated relationships, and think analytically; who integrate their knowledge with a creative and enlightened identity; who can continuously develop themselves through innovation; and who adopt equality, the public interest, and the right to the city as core principles.
In order to train Urban Planners who can also practice their profession in a foreign language, 30% of the courses in the curriculum have been taught in English since 1997. As of the 2010–2011 academic year, the program has been delivered entirely (100%) in English. The program consists of compulsory, elective, and project-based courses. The total course credit is 130 (240 ECTS). The curriculum has been designed within the Faculty of Architecture, particularly to facilitate double major opportunities with the Department of Architecture.
